The first classification of birds was developed by Francis Willughby and John Ray in their 1676 volume Ornithologiae . [7] Carl Linnaeus modified that work in 1758 to devise the taxonomic classification system currently in use. [8] Birds are categorised as the biological class Aves in Linnaean taxonomy . Phylogenetic taxonomy places Aves in the dinosaur clade Theropoda . [9]

Flappy Bird is a 2013 mobile game developed by Vietnamese artist and programmer Dong Nguyen, under his game development company dotGEARS . [1] The game is a side-scroller where the player controls a bird, attempting to fly between rows of green pipes without hitting them. The developer created the game over several days, using a bird protagonist which he had designed for a cancelled game in 2012.

Webmaster Notes: The pages shown depicting the official 50 US State birds were drawn from : " Audubon's Birds of America " an 1840 "First Octavo Edition" of John J. Audubon's complete seven volume text.
